Water Baptism

Water Baptism

What is Water Baptism?

Baptism is a way of showing others that you follow Jesus Christ. Every person who believes in Christ should be baptized.  Baptism doesn’t make you a believer, but it shows what takes place in your heart at the time of salvation. Baptism is an anchor point in our Journey of following Jesus – it signifies a new identity that is found in Jesus. Because Jesus was baptized by immersion in water, and every baptism in the Bible was by immersion in water, we believe this method best symbolizes a burial and resurrection (Matthew 3:16).

Water Baptisms Registration Process

Signing up to be Water Baptized at Pinellas Community Church has been designed to be both simple and meaningful. From the registration form to the baptism services, each step has been carefully planned with you in mind.  Baptisms take place once a month (unless otherwise noted).

To schedule your baptism around the service you typically attend, please complete the registration form below.  For children or students, please click the appropriate link.  After we receive your registration form, we’ll contact you to schedule an informational meeting one week before your baptism date where you’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions should you have them.

Child Dedication

The ceremony is intended to be a public statement by the parents and or family that you will train your children in the Christian faith and seek to instill that faith in them. The church family will also seek to encourage the parents to bring up the child in the faith. Examples of dedicating a child to the lord can be found in the bible (Luke 2:22) as Mary and Joseph dedicated Jesus to God. While this ceremony does not give salvation; rather it is a commitment to give your child the opportunity to seek salvation for themselves.

What is the Child Dedication Process?

We dedicate children from birth up until they are able to make the decision on their own to do water baptism. Child Dedication ceremonies are conducted on the 3rd Sunday of each month during the normal Sunday service. This special moment is commemorated with a dedication certificate and family photo. To schedule your dedication around the service you typically attend, please complete the registration form below. After we receive your registration form, we’ll contact you one week before your child's dedication date where you’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions should you have them.

Small Groups

Trying to live a Christ-centered life can be hard if you're doing it alone. Being in a community of friends on the journey with you makes your growth that much easier. Gathering regularly with other Christ followers helps to strengthen your journey. We've got three seasons of small groups (Fall, Winter, & Summer). Step into a group today!

What Small Groups are available?

Starter Groups

These groups are designed to introduce you to GROUP LIFE. Groups meet Wednesday nights at 6:30PM in our auditorium. Discussions center around thoughts and ideas that were presented during the previous Sunday's talk. Go deeper into the message.

Life Groups

Do you ever want to spend time with other people who may be going through the same thing as you? Life Groups are designed for you to be able to do just that while studying and growing deeper in your relationship with God. Groups meet throughout the week in different locations.

Help Groups

Sometimes life throws us curve balls. And we need just a little help getting back on track. Our Help Groups are designed to walk you through steps to get your life back on track. These groups meet at various locations and at various times.

Learner Groups

These groups revolve around a central topic, book, or series of talks. They are limited in meeting dates -- some may meet for 4 weeks, while others meet for 10. Either way, they are a way to enrich specific areas of your life! Groups may delve into topics such as Financial Peace, Clean Eating, Bible Surveys, and more.

Squads are small groups uniquely designed for middle and high school students. They meet each Wednesday night of the season. Squads are full of fun and learning what living a God centered life looks like.

Awana is our Wednesday night discipleship program specifically designed for early child and elementary ages. Students spend time worshipping, memorizing scripture, and learning to love Jesus. We would love for your child to join us this semester!

What is a Servant Leader?

We think a better question is: Who are Servant Leaders? The greatest form of leadership is service to others. Every leader is a servant first. From the parking lot to the pulpit, everyone serves. Each role is different but they are all equally important.
