AREAS OF OVERSIGHT AT PCC
BIO
I was raised in Battle Creek, MI -- the home of Tony the Tiger and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1981. I love Classic Rock (Journey, Van Halen, Foreigner, etc.) and am a die hard University of Michigan fan -- GO BLUE!!
I attended Evangel University in Springfield, MO and Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. I have a B.A. in Church Ministries with a concentration in Missions. Post graduate work was completed at Rockbridge University and I have an M.A. in Church Leadership.
I have been in full-time ministry since 1990 and on staff at PCC since 1994. When Lori and I first came to PCC, there were only about 150 people meeting in a small hotel conference room. It was quite an adventure.
In 2004, I took the lead role and have enjoyed watching God use me to inspire people to become all that God designed them to be.
My goal is to retire from PCC "young" and at a point where the church is growing and healthy. I want to mentor the next Lead Pastor and staff to take my place and then watch them thrive by taking PCC to an even greater place. After that, I hope to find a place in the mountains to settle down and spend the remainder of my life encouraging and coaching pastors and churches.
FAMILY INFO
Lori & I have been married since 1984 after meeting at Evangel University. We've lived in Missouri, Georgia, and Florida. We enjoy hiking in the mountains and spending time together doing just about anything. We have four children: Jonathan, Jensyn, Josalyn, and Jacob. Our three older kids are studying at various state universities.

IF THERE WERE A MOVIE MADE ABOUT MY LIFE, THE TITLE WOULD BE…

THE FUNNIEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME…
I was leading a staff retreat for our executive staff and there were several new members that had recently joined our team. Several of them jumped on bikes and began riding them around at the retreat center. Trying to be just as cool as they were, I jumped on one too and took off down the dirt road. I went to ride over a clump of moss not knowing that it was hiding a huge stick underneath. Well, the bike stopped dead but I kept going -- over the handle bars. It all seemed to happen in slow motion as everyone watch in amazement as I just hung in mid air, scrambling to regain my balance and composure. Needless to say, they all laughed, but I walked away with some bruises to my knees and elbows and...my pride! I laugh now because I know I'm just not that cool or coordinated.
THREE PEOPLE I WOULD LIKE TO MEET…
Condoleezza Rice, Rick Warren (again -- but the next time one on one), and Jeff Foxworthy
