Meet the Pastor
A glimpse of our pastor

Mark Canfield serves as the Lead Pastor of Pinellas Community Church in Saint Petersburg, Florida.  He and his wife Lori have four children: Jonathan, Jensyn, Josalyn, and Jacob.

Mark began his pastoral ministry career in 1990 at the age of 27 as a youth pastor.  He joined the PCC staff in 1994 as the Life Development Director and helped to transition the church from a church plant to an establish ministry and congregation.  After enjoying a very successful season as a youth pastor he moved into the role of Executive Pastor.  There, his responsibilities included overseeing the pastoral staff, implementing vital ministry groups that enhanced the growth and relational health of the church, as well as develop the "brand" of how the community came to know PCC.

In 2004, Mark was asked to serve as the Lead Pastor as the church transitioned to the next phase and level of impact.  Throughout the past several years, he has established PCC as a church for families that loves and ministers to young people in age-appropriate settings. He has also lead the church in developing a stronger presence in the community through outreach, as well as meeting the needs in churches around the world.

Gifted with the ability to recognize and cultivate the gifts and talents God has placed in others, Mark has helped PCC to become a church that believes that when everyone is working together to accomplish the goals and purposes of God...everyone wins!

God has given Mark the opportunities to share his gifts with others as a conference presenter and guest speaker at various events.  His ability to communicate Biblical principles is always practical and relevant to the world we live in.

Although his responsibilities as Lead Pastor occupy the majority of his time, occasionally he finds the time to engage in a few of his other passions...such as spending time with his family, hiking the hills of North Carolina (or anywhere out west), or spending time developing the landscape around his home or PCC.
