Need to Know
Health and safety are important to us

The Family Ministry team is committed to providing a secure and loving environment for your family. We want to maintain health and safety to create a safe place for everyone to attend. Our policies are outlined below.

Your Child's Health and Safety

WELLNESS POLICY
We operate a well-baby Nursery and Preschool. For the safety of all children in our ministry we are unable to care for a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (3 days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea, or any other signs of illness. This will help reduce the risk of exposing other children.

PARENT CONTACT DURING SERVICE
If your child needs you to return to the classroom, you will be contacted by pager or cell phone. Please have your phone available and on vibrate to avoid disturbing others.

VOLUNTEERS
All volunteers must be a PCC member or regular attendee, fulfill the interview process, pass a criminal background check, and complete orientation.

Check-In and Check-Out

Computerized check-in is quick and easy. After a family is logged in, name tags are printed for every child along with a parent claim label. A three-digit ID number on name tags and claim labels provide a secure check-out at the end of service. Family Ministry volunteers will always be available to help with this procedure.

DISCIPLINE
We seek to build the worth, value, and dignity of each child in a happy and safe environment. Encouragement and praise is given for good behavior and wise choices. The following procedure is followed for inappropriate behavior:
  1. Explanation -- Clear and calm definition of expectations and consequences
  2. Discipline -- Time-out and/or restricted privileges
  3. Parent Support -- If child continues to choose inappropriate behavior, parents will be notified
