To us an encounter is a life-changing moment in the presence of an unchanging God.

We see this unfold in the life of Aaron and Moses. They experienced wonderful miracles at the hand of God. They saw plagues and deliverance. They even saw the Red Sea part and the Israelites walk across it. Amazing!

But while Moses was on top of the mountain talking with God, Aaron was at the bottom, making a statue out of gold. Then Aaron looked at the Israelites and said…here this is the god that delivered you from your slavery.

Moses and Aaron experienced the same things, saw the same things, even spoke the same things…the difference was that Moses had something that Aaron didn’t have...an encounter with the Creator of the Universe. That encounter occurred at a burning bush. You see an Encounter is a life-changing moment in the presence of an unchanging God. 

Encounter has three parts…

The first is our class series called “Truth.”

The classes will be held online and here on the PCC campus. Together we will take what Jesus says in John 4 and apply it to our lives, becoming true worshippers who worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth.

Next is our Virtual Book Club.

We will go through books like Bob Sorge’s "Exploring Worship" and Darlene Zschech’s book "Extravagant Worship." We will also have an online blog where we can post questions, insights, comments, and encouragements.

Lastly is our Encounter Gatherings.

This is a time for those of us involved with PCC Worship. A time to be refreshed in the presence of God.
